downloadpdf (1K) Climate Change and Schools: A carbon management strategy for the school sector
Climate Change and Schools was published in 2010, after three years of development and consultation. SE2 worked closely with the Department for Children, Schools and Families throughout, leading stakeholder engagement, managing carbon modelling and research, coordinating consultation responses and co-authoring the final strategy.

The strategy sets out a bold and ambitious response to the challenge of climate change. We welcome this level of ambition and hope to continue to work closely with the school sector to see the strategy through to implementation.

downloadpdf (1K) Encouraging public sector take-up of low carbon and renewable energy technologies
In 2009, SE2 carried out a research review and stakeholder engagement project to explore the uptake of low carbon and renewable energy technologies in the public sector.

Working with stakeholders across the public sector, SE2 mapped the barriers to greater use of these technologies, and identified a range of policy options for encouraging improvements. We were particularly tasked with looking at issues and opportunities that apply across the whole public sector - from the largest central government department to the smallest primary school.

Published in Summer 2009, this report formed part of the DECC Big Energy Shift project and was delivered by SE2 working with the Sustainable Development Commission.
