Our skills in research and report writing are well-regarded by our clients.

We have strong experience in literature reviews and desk research, often supplemented by stakeholder interviews and workshops. Our reports are designed to be interesting, accessible and practical, peppered with useful recommendations to ensure that they are living documents for our clients.

SE2 has successfully demonstrated its research and report writing capabilities for clients at national, regional and local level

Working closely with our clients and their stakeholders, we have produced carbon reduction strategies for the English schools estate, a carbon footprint for supported housing for older people, and a review of skills and training in sustainable energy in London.

At a national level, we have worked with Defra to produce summary reports of consultation responses into the Carbon Emissions Reduction Target, its flagship energy efficiency programme.

We have explored routes to low carbon housing for an English region, and produced ‘state of the nation’ reports on the Energy Efficiency Commitment and the market for energy efficiency advice.
